Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Honolulu, HI to provide reliable, customer-focused security for designated sites. The role offers fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform, helping you grow your hours and experience.

The position emphasizes flexible, dependable hours, a six-month anchor shift commitment, and the potential to scale to a schedule up to 40 hours per week with additional shifts as available.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hotel public areas, guest-accessible spaces, service areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
