Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer at our Sparrows Point, MD distribution center to protect clients across retail and warehouse settings. Expect unarmed patrols, a strong customer-service approach, and a visible presence aimed at deterrence and safety.

You will work a set schedule with the Claim a Shift platform to adapt your hours, at a pay rate of $18.50 per hour. Requirements include being 18+, a high school diploma or equivalent, and successful background and drug

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry, and report unauthorized activity.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and promptly per site requirements.
