Job summary

Allied Universal in Sparrows Point, MD, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to patrol a logistics center, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service. The role focuses on routine patrols, observing and reporting security concerns, and maintaining a safe environment.

You will respond to incidents calmly, verify credentials, and communicate effectively with site leadership. Flexible scheduling is a key benefit of this position.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents and access-control concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document observations and patrol activity.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by reporting hazards to site leadership.
