Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Emergency Assistance in Jacksonville, FL. This role provides reliable hours at a fixed site with the option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Pay is $19.00 per hour. Responsibilities include customer service, access control, patrols at the healthcare location, incident reporting, and emergency response in accordance with procedures.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including building interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
