Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer - Enhanced Part Time in Jacksonville, FL to provide customer service, perform patrols, and enforce site policies.

The role features fixed shifts with a six-month commitment, plus Earn More -Claim-A-Shift options to pick up extra shifts across sites. Pay rate is $22.66 per hour, with part-time hours and potential to scale up.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• A drug screen may be required where legally permitted.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors; follow security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow established protocols; contact appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points; verify authorized entry and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and public-service personnel; escalate concerns as needed.
