Job summary

Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Presence. This role offers flexible hours with fixed anchors and opportunities to pick up extra shifts.

You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, conduct patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and maintain logs. Requirements include 18+, high school diploma, background check, drug screen; valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific access control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, or suspicious activity through established reporting channels.
