Job summary

Allied Universal in Austin, TX, is seeking a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer for a healthcare manufacturing site. The role offers fixed daytime shifts with the option to pick additional hours through our scheduling platform, at $20.00 per hour.

Anchored shifts provide steady base hours and a six-month commitment. You may earn more by picking extra shifts at multiple sites, with a path toward 40 hours weekly if desired.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities at a healthcare manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor records, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence in areas that may include offices, production spaces, warehouses, and loading docks.
