Job summary

Allied Universal in Austin, TX is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Entry Authorization to provide reliable, fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional hours through our scheduling platform. This role offers a $22.00 per hour pay rate and a six-month anchor shift commitment at a designated site.

You will deliver customer service, monitor access, respond to incidents, and complete accurate reports while adhering to site policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles. Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while enforcing access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and report concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site-specific protocols.
• Conduct patrols of government facility areas to identify hazards or unauthorized access.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents and access-control activities for leadership and site representatives.
