Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Triage in Sterling, VA. This role offers flexible fixed shifts with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts, and a pay rate of $23.18 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, data‑related infrastructure areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and authorized entry requirements; verify credentials as directed and report access‑control concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following post orders and reporting details through required channels.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant security‑related information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
