Allied Universal, Mountain View, CA, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Access Validation for a flexible, part-time role with guaranteed anchor shifts and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts.

The position offers a base pay of $19.87 per hour, with fixed anchor shifts and potential to increase earnings through the pick-up shifts program. Candidates must be at least 18 (unarmed) or 21 (armed) and pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• State/county/city-issued security license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required; subject to laws.
• Drug screen required per employment policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site‑specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner following site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, classrooms, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management and reporting for unauthorized access.
• Prepare clear incident reports and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership.
