Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced for Palo Alto, CA. This role offers fixed shifts with optional extra shifts via our scheduling platform to boost earnings and experience across sites.

Pay rate is $26.40 per hour. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of security experience, a college degree, and CPR certification is preferred. Roles require background checks and potential licensing depending on state laws.

Qualifications

2+ years of security-related experience.
College degree required.
CPR certification preferred.
Access control and badge experience preferred.
Guard card or license preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background check required by laws.
Drug screen required where permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location, following security procedures and site policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed per site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain security logs and incident documentation.
Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding security observations and needs.
