Job summary

Allied Universal in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Library Patrol to provide reliable, consistent hours at a government facility site and support a flexible schedule.

This part-time role offers pay of $17.00 per hour with fixed shifts on Wed and Thu evenings, plus opportunities to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings while gaining experience across sites.

Qualifications

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a government facility by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, hazards, and unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify authorized access; and assist with visitor direction and facility-related inquiries.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
