Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time role at our Whitakers, NC location. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor badge activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, patrolling access points, and maintaining accurate access records using computer-based systems. A high school diploma is required, with 6 months of security experience preferred and CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor check-in processes, and maintain accurate access records.
• Control access to manufacturing and industrial areas in accordance with site requirements, escalating access discrepancies and unauthorized-entry concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
