Job summary

DK Security, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Grand Rapids, MI. You will guard posts, patrol grounds, and check IDs to ensure a safe environment while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications include 18+ with a HS diploma or GED, ability to pass drug screening, and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification. The position runs Monday–Friday, several shifts, at $20.00/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Armed security work requires 21+ with a Michigan CPL or LEOSA card.
• No felonies; no misdemeanors related to dishonesty or security offenses.
• Pass a drug screen at hire and on a random basis thereafter.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication in English.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
• Ability to move quickly and lift up to 50 pounds (70 with armed duties).

Responsibilities

• Guard posts at the entry/exit points of client buildings and grounds.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols to maintain a safe environment.
• Check identifications of employees, vendors, and visitors.
• Identify suspicious people, packages and activities.
• Follow site-specific post guidelines.
• Document daily activities and report incidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
