Job summary

DK Security, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Uniformed Security Officer in Big Rapids, MI. The role involves guarding client buildings and grounds, patrolling areas, and ensuring a safe environment while delivering excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

The schedule is Monday through Friday with various days, 0700-1900, offering a $20.00/hour compensation. Candidates must meet minimum education, pass background checks, and be able to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have at least a high school diploma or GED.
• 17(2). (Must also be at least 21 years old and be a Michigan CPL or LEOSA cardholder to perform armed security work).
• Must not have been convicted of any felonies, per MCL 338.1060
• Must pass a drug screening at hire and random testing thereafter (including for marijuana).
• Must adhere to Uniform and Appearance policy and present a friendly, positive, professional image.
• Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be willing to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified.

Responsibilities

• Guard posts at entry/exit points of client buildings and grounds.
• Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols to ensure a safe environment.
• Check for employee, vendor, and visitor identifications.
• Observe for suspicious people, packages, and activities.
• Document daily activities and report incidents.
• Other duties as assigned.
