Job summary

Per Mar Security Services in Sterling, IL is seeking a part-time security officer for an industrial site. The shift runs 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, Thursday through Sunday, totaling 32 hours per week, with compensation of $16.50 per hour.

You will monitor premises with CCTV and patrols, control access for visitors and inbound traffic, inspect doors and gates, and coordinate emergency response when needed. A valid driver's license, basic computer skills, and willingness to undergo pre-employment

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to handle physical workload including climbing stairs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment screening (drug screen, MVR, background).
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Driving a company vehicle is required; valid driver's license with acceptable record.
• PERC card holder preferred, not required; assistance available.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules via CCTV and security rounds.
• Access control of visiting individuals and commercial inbound traffic.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations.
• Other duties as assigned by the site security supervisor.
