Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Driver) in New Albany, OH. The role includes access-control duties at a utilities site, visitor management, and responding to security concerns while remaining visible to deter incidents.

This position requires a valid driver’s license, 5+ years in security, and the ability to work a daytime schedule on weekends. A background check and drug screen are required per policy.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license required.
• At least five years of security-related experience required.
• 18+ years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor logs, and issue or recover access badges according to site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unauthorized activity or security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, access issues, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
