Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a part-time Surgical/Scrub Tech for the Surgery Unit. Responsibilities include monitoring PAR levels of surgical instruments and pain-management supplies, sterilizing instruments used in the OR and Pain Center, and participating in staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Location: 2375 E.

Prater Way, Sparks, NV. Candidates must have Surgical Technician Certification, 1 year of experience, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Surgical Technician Certification required.
• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Interacts professionally with patients and families.
• Provides patients with explanations and verbal reassurance as necessary.
• Notifies appropriate licensed personnel when a patient complains of pain.
• Adapts procedures to meet individual needs of infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients for treatment.
