Job summary

Valley ASC St Charles in St Charles, IL is seeking a Certified Scrub Technician to support physicians during surgical interventions. The role involves instrument setup, instrument counts, instrument cleaning, sterilization, and participating in staff meetings and performance improvement.

Under RN supervision, you will monitor PAR levels, ensure readiness of supplies, and contribute to patient safety through adherence to policy and procedure in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery setting.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Graduation from a Certified Scrub School preferred or 1 year on-the-job scrub experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with instrumentation of surgical interventions.
• Monitor PAR levels of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Clean and sterilize all surgical instruments.
• Participate in staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
