Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a part-time Surgical/Scrub Tech for the Surgery Unit. Responsibilities include monitoring PAR levels of surgical instruments and pain-management supplies, sterilizing instruments used in the OR and Pain Center, and participating in staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Location: 2375 E.

Prater Way, Sparks, NV. Candidates must have Surgical Technician Certification, 1 year of experience, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Surgical Technician Certification required.
• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Interacts professionally with patients and families.
• Provides patients with explanations and verbal reassurance as necessary.
• Notifies appropriate licensed personnel when a patient complains of pain.
• Adapts procedures to meet individual needs of infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients for treatment.

Job Summary

This Surgical/Scrub Tech opportunity is part‑time in the Surgery Unit and offers a convenient schedule. We are looking for a dynamic Surgical/Scrub Tech who will monitor the PAR level of all surgical instruments and pain‑management supplies, cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments used in the OR and Pain Center, participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Location: Northern Nevada Medical Center, a 124‑bed acute care hospital located on 23 hillside acres at 2375 E. Prater Way in Sparks, Nevada.
