Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a part-time Surgical Scrub Tech for the Surgery Unit. The role involves monitoring PAR levels, cleaning and sterilizing instruments, and supporting pain management supply chains.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, assisting with procedures, and participating in staff meetings. Opportunity to contribute to quality care and service excellence within UHS.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• Surgical Technician Certification required (within 6 months of hire) or verifiable hospital surgical tech experience prior to 1/1/2018.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Main OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interacts professionally with patients and family.
• Provides patient with explanations and verbal reassurance, as necessary.
• Prepares room with anticipated instruments and supplies for each procedure, including GI Lab instruments.
