Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in the Indianapolis service area is seeking a Part-Time Sciences Laboratory Technician to provide lab support for Anatomy & Physiology, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, and Physical Science. Responsibilities include setup, tear-down, cleaning, and assisting full-time lab staff.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, college science coursework, and strong reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• College courses in biology, biotechnology, chemistry, and/or physics.
• One year experience with instructional and research lab support.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and tear down instructional labs for science courses.
• Keep labs and prep rooms clean and organized.
• Restock lab items and materials as needed.
• Check equipment for proper operation.
• Comply with safety regulations and FERPA.
