Pickering Creek is located on a tidal tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. The Center's 450 acres are a microcosm of Maryland's Eastern Shore. We seek an enthusiastic individual that is willing to inspire others about the natural world and take conservation action.
Pickering Creek Audubon Center seeks a part-time, seasonal School-Year Educator to assist in delivering our successful environmental education programs. The School-Year Educator will serve as integral to our education team; report to the center’s Director of Education; and work closely with all center staff. They will maintain positive and friendly working relationships with the general public, volunteers, and local/regional community organizations and school groups.
This is a part-time, seasonal position beginning September 9, 2026 through May 26, 2027. There is a winter break from early December 2026 through February/March 2027. Some weekends and evenings required.
Salary: $17/hour, up to 28-hour work week during busiest field seasons
