Police Athletic League, Inc. seeks an on‑site COMPASS School ProgramAssistant Directorsto elevate out‑of‑school programming within NYC public schools or PAL Centers.

This role reports to the Program Director and requires creativity, strong supervision skills, and the ability to build partnerships across youth, families, and communities. Ideal candidates have experience in program management, staff supervision, and knowledge of DYCD/SACC requirements, with a flexible schedule including days,

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in youth programming and staff supervision.
• Experience aligning programs with DYCD and SACC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Foster social and emotional well‑being in a safe, inclusive environment.
• Oversee afterschool programming and mental health support coordination.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise part‑time staff.
• Ensure alignment with PAL policies and funding obligations.
• Develop Youth Development culture and coach across programs.
• Coordinate with site leadership to grow programming opportunities.
• Collect program data and make data‑driven recommendations.
• Maintain partnerships with NYPD, NYCPS, DYCD, DOH and community partners.
