Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a contract Occupational Therapist substitute to cover a maternity leave in a Michigan elementary school and ECSE setting. The role runs from late August to early November with a 2–3 day per week schedule, focused on supporting students during the school day.

The successful candidate will conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, collaborate with teachers and families, document progress, and provide classroom consultation to enhance participation and learning experiences

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Current Occupational Therapist license in the state or eligibility for licensure.
• Prior experience in school settings, especially with elementary/ECSE populations.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a collaborative education-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and deliver individualized OT interventions for students.
• Develop and implement goals as part of IEP teams.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success.
• Document progress and participate in case conferences as needed.
• Provide consultation and support for classroom strategies that enhance participation.
• Contribute to a positive school atmosphere, supporting diverse student needs.
