Position Overview
The School Nurse will work to support the student health needs across the KIPP Nashville school community – either at a designated school or support across multiple schools. S/he will report to the Director of Student Health and in close partnership with the school-based Principal and Director of Operations to prepare for and respond to student and school needs as it relates to student health. Ultimately, our student health team plays a key role in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for KIPP Nashville students.

Required Qualifications
Current non-restricted TN Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. B.S.N. is preferred. 2 years or more in nursing; Current BLS, First Aid, and AED certification; Associate or Nursing Diploma with Pediatric experience, BSN a plus. Licensed or eligible for RN licensure in Tennessee. Experience in a pediatric setting is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
This role is part-time (2 days per week), approximately 10 months of the year. The role is paid a competitive hourly rate and is non-exempt from overtime (i.e. eligible for overtime). Pay ranges from $34-$36/hour commensurate with experience. The schedule is typically 2-3 days Monday through Friday, day shift, and works from early August through the end of the school year, as directed by the Director of Student Health.
