Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months in a commercial or institutional food service operation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and work under supervision.
• Good sanitation and safety practices and ability to operate kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods, salads, and desserts; cook or bake as directed by the master menu.
• Clean and prepare foods using knives, slicers, peelers and commercial equipment.
• Follow written orders including recipes and dietary instructions.
• Operate dishwasher and floor buffers as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining and storage areas.
• Prepare and serve meals for students and cadre; assist with serving food.
