Responsibilities include following recipes, assisting with menu planning, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring proper food storage. Requirements: high school diploma, previous cooking or food service experience, and food safety certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or food service experience preferred.
• Food safety and sanitation certification preferred; on-the-job obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals and snacks in accordance with established recipes and nutritional guidelines.
• Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary manner, following health and safety regulations.
• Assist in menu planning and food inventory management, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and available.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas, including proper storage of food items.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during meal service times.
• Monitor and maintain food quality and presentation standards.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities as needed.
• Adhere to all dietary restrictions and special requests from students and staff.
