Job summary

Vaughn Next Century Learning Center in Pacoima, CA is seeking a part-time Custodian to support daily custodial operations at the G3 site. Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, restrooms, and floors, operating cleaning equipment, and reporting maintenance needs to ensure safety and cleanliness across the campus.

Requirements include basic computer/phone use, strong written and spoken English, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of computer or cell phone use.
• Clear oral and written communication in English.
• Team player with ability to initiate and maintain cooperative relationships.

Responsibilities

• Participates in custodial duties: cleaning rooms, toilets, halls, gym, library, walls, fixtures, and equipment.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment and performs minor repairs on power equipment.
• Inspects building and equipment to maintain custodial standards and safe conditions.
• Coordinates maintenance needs with the Maintenance office.
• Maintains a healthy and safe environment in classrooms, bathrooms, grounds, and hallways.
• Assists in moving equipment and supports school emergency and safety plans.
• Communicates effectively with staff, students, and the public.
