Job summary

Sylvania in Smithfield, UT is seeking a part-time Sweeper to maintain clean, safe school facilities and grounds. Responsibilities include custodial tasks, grounds maintenance, setting up spaces for daily use and events, and responding to safety concerns.

This role requires basic cleaning skills, ability to work independently, and willingness to participate in district training. Work hours are approximately 10 per week, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment is beneficial.
• Ability to follow safety practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned school facilities including classrooms, offices, restrooms, gyms and multipurpose rooms.
• Maintain school grounds including mowing, trimming, weeding, sprinkler maintenance and landscaping.
• Prepare facilities for daily operations and events, including setup and teardown.
• Replenish classroom and restroom supplies and distribute materials as needed.
• Secure buildings and respond to safety or operational concerns with appropriate personnel.
• Unload deliveries and assist with other custodial/grounds duties as required.
• Participate in staff meetings and district trainings.
