Job summary

The Bremerton School District is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school-based occupational therapy services seven hours per day, three days a week during the school year.

The COTA will work under the direction of the licensed Occupational Therapist, conduct delegated assessments, document services, and contribute to IEP/IFSP goals in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• Licensed supervision requirements per state regulations under the State Occupational Therapy Practice Act.
• Ability to collaborate with therapists, teachers, and staff to support IFSP/IEP goals.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to screening or evaluation processes by implementing delegated assessments.
• Provides verbal and written reports of observations and student capacities to the occupational therapist.
• Collaborates with the occupational therapist and multidisciplinary team to develop the OT plan based on IFSP/IEP.
• Keeps knowledge of student OT goals and IFSP/IEP outcomes up to date.
• Documents OT services within established timeframes and formats.
