Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics in Texas is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support school-based OT services under supervision. The role focuses on helping students develop functional skills and independence within the school setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with assessments, implementing therapy plans, documenting progress, collaborating with teachers and the OT, and upholding TABOT standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license issued by TABOT.
• Current CPR certification.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervising OT in data collection and screenings for motor, sensory, self-help, and classroom performance needs.
• Carry out individual or group therapy sessions per IEP goals under OT supervision.
• Maintain documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes; communicate changes to the OT.
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and school staff to generalize skills and participate in IEP meetings.
• Adhere to TABOT and school policies to ensure safe, student-centered practice.
