The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and willingness to travel between schools. Local travel is expected, with a starting hourly wage of $18.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to apply basic arithmetic calculations using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Skill in safe food handling.
• Skill in customer relations and service recovery.
• Must demonstrate excellent attendance and work record.
• Practical working knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to interact with students, staff, and parents from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, service, and storage of food.
• Follow approved cafeteria menu preparation and service protocols.
• Train in all kitchen stations to cross-cover as needed.
• Promote customer service by providing appealing food and great service.
• Monitor portions, pricing, and safe storage of supplies and food.
• Complete required reports and work with diverse student populations.
