Job summary

Omaha Public Schools Adams Elementary in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant to support meal preparation, serving, sanitation, and inventory in the cafeteria.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic using money, weights, volumes, and distances.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, service, and storage of food.
• Support service excellence initiatives through proactive service efforts.
• Follow cafeteria menus and service protocols on schedule.
• Train in all kitchen stations to cross-cover as needed.
• Promote customer service and appealing food quality.
• Monitor portion control, pricing, and safe storage of supplies.
