Job summary

Putnam County Schools in Winfield, West Virginia, seeks a Half Day Bus Operator (S1437) to transport students on assigned routes and ensure safety during school transportation.

Qualifications

• Holds a Commercial Driver’s License, Class B with Passenger and Airbrake Endorsements.
• Passes the required medical examination.
• Has three years of experience as a licensed driver.
• Passes the DMV Driving Record Check.
• Passes the Drug/Alcohol Screening.
• Completes 40 hours of required classroom training and 20 hours of behind the wheel training.
• Holds First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Holds a West Virginia School Bus Operator’s Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Operates school buses and other transportation vehicles as required by Putnam County Schools.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains on-time performance for assigned routes.
• Adjusts to route variations and student needs as directed by the transportation coordinator.
