Training includes 40 hours of classroom and 20 hours behind the wheel, and First Aid/CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Holds a Commercial Driver's License, Class B, Passenger and Airbrake Endorsements.
• Passes the required physical examination.
• Has three years of experience as a licensed driver.
• Passes the Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record Check.
• Passes the Drug/Alcohol Screening.
• Completes 40 hours of required classroom training and 20 hours of behind the wheel training.
• Holds First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Holds a West Virginia School Bus Operator's Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Operate school buses and other transportation vehicles as provided by the school system.
• Follow the policies and procedures outlined in the district's handbook.
• Location and length of routes may vary as determined by the Transportation Coordinator.
