Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) in Milton-Freewater, OR, is seeking a part-time Bus Driver to transport children and families to and from the center. The role emphasizes safety, bus maintenance, and adherence to state regulations while collaborating with a Bus Assistant to ensure a positive, secure ride for all participants.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, proper seating and child restraints, daily logs, and participation in drills and trainings as required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Oregon School Bus Driver Certificate.
• Ability to transport children safely and maintain vehicle sanitation.
• Willingness to complete mandated training as required by the Department of Education or other agencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and timely transportation for Agency children and families.
• Assist in loading and unloading of children and maintaining seating, belts and car seats.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and proper sanitization.
• Keep roster and logs, track maintenance, and assist with evacuation drills.
• Coordinate with Bus Assistant to ensure safety practices and incident reporting.
