Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) seeks an Assistant Bus Driver to help transport children safely on the school bus. The role focuses on safe loading/unloading, proper seating, and maintaining order and cleanliness on the bus, under the supervision of the Bus Driver.

Responsibilities include classroom-style safety communications with staff and families, assisting in transitions to and from the center, and supporting positive, educational bus experiences for children in Oregon.

Qualifications

• No prior education or experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bus Driver to supervise children and ensure safety on the bus.
• Load and unload children safely and verify the correct children enter/exit.
• Ensure children are buckled in and seated during transport.
• Maintain vehicle capacity and a clean bus; participate in safe transportation practices.
• Communicate with staff and parents regarding children's needs and activities.
