Job summary

Pisgah High School in Canton, North Carolina is seeking a part-time School Bus Driver to operate routes and transport students safely. The role requires pre-trip and post-trip inspections, adherence to all laws and regulations, and disciplined student management.

You will report to the Transportation Director and must be able to secure the bus at the end of each run. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and some experience driving large vehicles, with a valid North Carolina CDL

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and some experience driving large vehicles preferred; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document inspections as required.
• Operate the assigned school bus on route(s) and schedule provided by Transportation Director.
• Obey traffic laws and school bus regulations and maintain safety for students on board.
• Maintain discipline of students and implement a discipline plan consistent with school objectives.
• Report accidents or incidents and complete required reports.
• Secure the bus after each run and ensure all passengers are safe and accounted for.
