Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid Class A or B license with a 'P' endorsement and an 'S' endorsement.
• Must meet vision and hearing requirements and have an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate the school bus safely and efficiently and follow state and local regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections using the school's inspection form.
• Conduct a minimum of one evacuation drill per school year.
• Maintain bus cleanliness inside and out and keep to planned routes and schedules.
• Report hazards on routes to school officials and maintain discipline on the bus.
• Complete reports related to bus discipline and maintenance as required.
