Job summary

Bourbon County School District in Paris, Kentucky is seeking a 21st Century Bus Driver to provide safe student transportation and adhere to district policies. This part-time position requires a CDL, a high school diploma or GED, and completion of required safety and attendance training.

Qualifications

• Must have a Social Security Number and a written contract with the Board of Education.
• Must pass a bus driver test and hold a current CDL.
• Must attend drivers’ meetings and maintain CDL medical/fitness requirements.

Responsibilities

• The bus must leave on time every day and must not stop before the scheduled time.
• Check the bus in cold weather and warm up the engine per Board policy.
• Complete daily pre-trip inspections of the bus before leaving the garage or lot.
• Perform a walk-around inspection before each trip.
• Stop the bus at all railroad crossings and ensure doors are safe and operable.
• Drivers must maintain personal appearance and dress while operating the bus.
• Follow policies and directives from school officials; perform other duties as assigned.
