Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL with passenger endorsement.

• Previous bus driving experience preferred.

• Able to stay calm and make quick decisions in emergencies.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and school transportation safety standards.
• Ability to assist students with special needs as required.
• Split shifts: early mornings and afternoons; occasional extra hours for events.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus, following all traffic laws and district regulations.
• Transport students and staff to and from school, field trips, events.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior.
• Communicate schedule updates to students, parents, and staff.
• Monitor student behavior to ensure a safe ride.
• Report accidents, incidents, or mechanical issues promptly.
• Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.
• Assist in refining efficient routes when needed.
• Respond to emergencies to ensure passenger safety.
