Job summary

Bourbon County School District Bus Garage in Paris, Kentucky, is seeking an Assistant Mechanic to support the maintenance of district vehicles and equipment. The role involves stepping in for the Head Mechanic during absences and ensuring work is performed to keep the fleet in proper condition.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• The Assistant Mechanic will assume duties of Head Mechanic in his/her absences.
• Able to pass CDL with (P) endorsement.
• Degree from a 2 year Diesel Mechanic School or 2 year working experience as a Diesel Mechanic or equivalent work experience.
• Keep a clean and safe work environment.
• Able to trouble shoot multi-plex wiring systems ECM system, injector and fuel pumps.
• Will perform all duties assigned by the Head Mechanic or Superintendent.
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
