Job summary

Piedmont Public Schools is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver in Piedmont, Oklahoma. The role requires a CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements and Oklahoma credentials.

You will report to the Transportation Director and support daily routes while maintaining safety and compliance. Position is part-time with responsibilities including student management, records, and participation in required trainings.

Qualifications

• CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements as per Oklahoma requirements.
• Maintain records of riders and safety inspections.
• Complete required state and district training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus or assigned vehicle on schedule safely.
• Interact with students, parents, teachers and staff in a safe, helpful manner.
• Maintain records of student riders, accidents and inspections.
• Attend state-required bus driver certification classes and online training as needed.
• Complete required forms and documentation for driving concerns and incidents.
• Ensure bus is clean, fueled and ready for daily routes.
• Assist in securing wheelchairs and mobility devices when transporting students with special needs.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and report mechanical issues.
