Job summary

Qualifications

• Must pass background screening as per Alabama Child Protection Act and related laws.
• Must have the physical strength, agility and mobility for bus duties.
• Must maintain good interpersonal relationships with students, parents and staff.
• High school diploma or GED; may be waived by the superintendent in special cases.
• Valid Alabama CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Operate school bus according to schedules, routes and safety procedures.
• Observe traffic laws and Pelham Board policies at all times.
• Maintain professional appearance and promote positive public relations.
• Remain drug- and alcohol-free; comply with random testing policies.
• Keep bus clean and report incidents or accidents immediately.
