Job summary

ProCare Therapy in Connecticut is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a contract role near Litchfield. The three-day-per-week schedule supports a strong work‑life balance while delivering meaningful school-based services to students.

You will provide direct and consultative PT for a caseload under 30, assess motor skills, and develop individualized plans to support educational goals. Collaboration with teachers, families, and related service providers is essential for integrated care.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid state Physical Therapy license or be eligible for licensure.
• Experience or genuine interest in working with school-aged children.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs and 504 plans.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to liaise with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Adaptability to provide services in a dynamic school setting.
• Knowledge of current best practices in pediatric and school-based physical therapy, including consultative approaches.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and consultative PT services to a manageable caseload of fewer than 30 students.
• Assess students' motor skills and develop individualized treatment plans to support their educational needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other related service providers to ensure integrated care.
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings as needed.
• Communicate recommendations and strategies clearly to staff and families.
