Job summary

Specialized Assessment & Consulting is seeking a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS / O&M) for a part-time, in-school role at a school in Lumberton, TX (77657). You will work with students in grades 1–6, provide O&M services, and attend ARD meetings while consulting with classroom staff to support student independence.

O&M Specialist rates start at $45/hr. The ideal candidate holds ACVREP certification, a bachelor’s degree, and at least two years of school-based COMS

Qualifications

• ACVREP certification required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a COMS/O&M in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Attend ARD meetings and participate in planning.
• Consult with school staff regarding O&M services.
• Provide services to qualifying students with visual impairments as needed.
