Job summary

CCDOR is seeking a School Based Counseling (SBC) clinician for a 10-month, part-time role to deliver quality mental health services to youth and families.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, handling assessments, treatment planning, and counseling, while ensuring documentation reflects needs and outcomes. A Master’s degree and licensure path are required with ongoing professional development encouraged.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field is required.
• NYS Professional License in area of study is preferred upon hire and required after one year; LMSW/LMHC/LCSW/LMFT are typical licensure paths.
• At least 1 year of experience as a clinician is preferred; knowledge of counseling services and payment processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Administers clinical assessments in collaboration with local community entities or designated school districts.
• Provides counseling interventions in individual, family, or group sessions as needed.
• Maintains case records and completes all required reports in a timely manner.
• Carries a caseload consistent with program needs and participates in supervision.
