Job summary

YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties in Gig Harbor, WA seeks a Part-Time Child Watch Attendant at the Tom Taylor Family YMCA. Expect a safe, caring, and fun environment for children while parents use YMCA facilities, with up to 25 hours per week and pay around $17.13/hour.

Applicants should be at least 15 years old, have related experience, and be willing to complete required trainings. Benefits include YMCA membership and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be 15 years or older.
• Six months of related experience preferred.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (preferred).
• Must pass Background and Reference checks per WA State Fair Chance Act.
• Willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day.

Responsibilities

• Care for children ages 6 weeks to 7 years.
• Monitor drop-off and pick-up of children.
• Play actively with children and adapt activities to needs.
• Communicate with parents about behavior and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the child watch area.
