Job summary

YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is hiring a Part-Time Child Watch Lead at Gordon Family YMCA in Sumner, WA. You will help create a safe, caring, and engaging environment for children ages 6 weeks to 7 years while parents use YMCA facilities.

The role supports the Child Watch program under the Program Director, with wages between $18.24 and $18.69 per hour, up to 25 hours weekly. Background checks and training are required; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• Background checks and reference checks required.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusive environment.
• Willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, caring environment for children 6 weeks to 7 years.
• Assist supervision of the Child Watch program.
• Provide a quality experience aligned with YMCA core values.
• Monitor health and socialization daily.
• Complete head counts and incident reports.
• Greet parents and communicate about their child.
• Support staff and youth classes.
